Devotees offer prayers with the installation of Goddess Durga idol at Baba Machaudharanand Durgotsav Samiti at Machaudhari on fifth day of Navratra in Varanasi on September 23, 2009. At five places in Varanasi the idols were installed on first day of Navratra as these puja committees celebrate nine-day festival but majority of other places out of 175 idols to be installed in this 'Mini Kolkatta' will be installed on auspicious occasion of Sasthi, falling on September 24.
